Idea

Architecture and typography.

Valencia is a typeface inspired by the architecture of Valencia's city in Spain. This personal project is the result of my observation and life experience in this city. The design has its origins in serif fonts with a modern and geometric twist.

Symbols

The construction.

For some capitals letters I used iconic symbols from the history of the city. The crown, the bat and the orange fruit are one of the most representative things from Valencia.

Grid

A geometric base.

The architecture of each type has been made on a base of a geometric grid.
